This is 10th Anniversary of the World Figure & Fancy Skating Championships on black ice combining Fine, Performing, Decorative, and Recording Arts!
Please read and use this form as we are delighted that you will be participating in our Workshops and Black Ice Festival. You are very important to us and we care about you and the quality and viability of these World Championships & Festival that embody culture, art and sport and with your help can continue for years to come.
Life is short and World Figure Sport operates from the perspective of grace and gratitude. We are here to leave a lasting legacy with you. We have a duty to pass on the incredible knowledge and anatomy of skating originating from the mastery of one's blades. This knowledge and anatomy can be called: Traditional Figure-Skating.

A Skating Artist only needs to fill out this form if you are coming to visit and practice and not perform in any other events.
Skating Artists of all ages and abilities can pay to skate and practice on the fabulous black ice and participate in our amazing Workshops, take Private Lessons and/or World Figure Sport's Exams. Use the rates below.
Black Ice Practice Time $20 per 50 min session
Workshops are $15 each for 25 minutes and begin 25 minutes past each hour. , Ice
WFS Skating Exams - $60 (approximately but depends on number of exams taken), WFS Membership $100 individual for 2 years, $125 for two years, Family Memberships $150 - membership in our organization helps it to function but is not mandatory to participate.
When a Skating Artist brings any sponsors or donors to World's then we can earmark that amount for their experience and education!
A World Figure Sport's Skating Artist is defined by:
#1. Being a part of a growing community that rewards the fine art of the edge and majestic artwork on the ice that is created from the mastery of one's blades. This is related to the fine of art painting/drawing. A Skating Artist uses one's blades as a tool of artistic expression like a paintbrush or pencil that carries through the entire body from the foot line to the top head with world class posture and flow across the beautiful black ice as moving sculpture.
#2. Training in the Fine of Art of Figures develops a Skating Artist to be technically secure and consistent. This allows the Skating Artist to grow and bloom like a flower that is secured with strong roots from their foot development which is the base of control to become world class in 4 major art genres - fine, performing, decorative, and recording arts on ice.
#3. A World Figure Sport's Skating Artist is developed with intension and practice of even 5 minutes a day over time and a positive mindset to become skating virtuoso where even every skill becomes awe-inspiring.
#4. From a perspective of grace and gratitude, World Figure Sport educates and encourages both skaters, coaches, families and skating aficionados to push forward with us the profound knowledge and opportunity of the World Figure & Fancy Skating Championships on black ice. Why? Because, it is of utmost importance to offer with respect and forward thinking the mathematical proofs and profound beauty that is imprinted into the ice for the world to enjoy the "Art of Skating. We look forward to seeing your beautiful Figures & Fancy Skating at the 2024 World Figure & Fancy Skating Championships in Lake Placid, NY from October 9 - 13th, 2024.
#5. Ways to success - It is necessary for everyone to pitch in and for everyone to do what you can to support the World Figure and Fancy Skating Championships on black ice. We are grateful to be having our 10th year anniversary in Lake Placid. World Figure Sport is a growing presence around the globe for our unique brand of skating. The World Championships on black ice is not only remarkable but requires extra attention to detail regarding ice maintenance, live music, and special art events. We can't do this without you. Donations and sponsors are a necessity as a not-for-profit with a world class brand of art, sport, and goodwill.

Participants may have family and friends with companies that would like to be sponsors or underwriters for different aspects of Worlds and then we promote their sponsorship in honor of you.
