Saturdays 2 Serve provides a meaningful way to serve God by serving those in need. It is your chance to do Risk-Taking Mission and Service right here in Kansas City. Platte Woods Church is going to spend one morning a month serving in mission. Three or four mission projects will be planned for each Saturday. One or two of the projects will be on site at the church and the others take place out in the community. Some of the projects are suitable for children. When does this happen? The name says it all: the 2nd Saturday of the month (starting in 2008). Volunteers will be served a free breakfast, provided by The Woodsmen, at 8:30 a.m. in the dining hall. At 9:00 a.m., groups will form and begin to serve and make a difference in our community. Most projects will be over by noon.
