The Identity Project’s Mission
Challenging each other to think deeper, to embrace and to actively acknowledge our uniqueness by having different identities that represent us.
The Meaning of “The Identity Project”
The Identity Project is important to the campus community because it is design for students, faculty and staff to actively participate in a movement that embraces our different identities. This campaign goes beyond our representations to the human eye and wants to express the importance of knowing who we truly are. Encouraging each other to celebrate our individuality and know that we are all special in our own way.
“Our uniqueness, our individuality, and our life experience molds us into fascinating beings. I hope we can embrace that. I pray we may all challenge ourselves to delve into the deepest resources of our hearts to cultivate an atmosphere of understanding, acceptance, tolerance, and compassion. We are all in this life together.” - Linda Thompson
