ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
BECA does not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or marital status. We make every effort to accommodate those who have physical disabilities or health limitations.

Do you have any physical or emotional limitations, any allergies, or other impairments that would limit your participation in everyday teaching or community activities? If yes, please explain here.
Health & Safety
Like many developing nations, Honduras has higher crime rates than the United States. While BECA is vigilant about the health and safety of its volunteers, there are still risks associated with living abroad. Please confirm that you have read the Safety and Health [opens a new window] section on our Volunteer Experience page.

If you or your parents have any questions or concerns about safety and/or health in Honduras, please list them here so we may address them in our first conversation.
Race/Ethnicity
BECA is committed to diversity. Providing this information is optional, but the information will assist us in furthering our commitment to diversity.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Please attach ONE document that includes your resume and responses to the following questions:

1) Your Interest: Volunteering with BECA would probably be one of the most challenging, yet fulfilling tasks you have ever undertaken. Given that the challenges can be significant, why are you interested and what experiences demonstrate that you will be able to contribute to our students' education?

2) Team Player: Our teachers work long hours and live without many of the luxuries that we are accustomed to (warm water, air conditioning, bathtubs, etc.). Therefore, it is absolutely crucial that teachers work together and support one another, both inside and outside the classroom. What experiences demonstrate your ability to work as a member of a team?

3) Future Plans: What are your future personal and professional plans? If selected as a BECA teacher, how do you think your experience with BECA will assist you with those plans?

4) For Program Administrator Candidates only: Please provide at least two relevant examples of your own successful leadership in challenging circumstances.
